Description Description A-10 Thunderbolt II Kit – Tamiya 61028 This is Tamiya’s 1/48 scale plastic model of the A-10 Thunderbolt II. The A-10 proved its worth during the 1991 Gulf War. Affectionately known as “Wart Hog” to its pilots, the A-10 is a large single-seat aircraft, distinguished by a pair of TF-34-100A high-bypass jet engines mounted high on its rear fuselage. Its internal armament is a GAU-8/A 30mm Gatling gun capable of firing 2100 or 4200 rounds per minute. The fully assembled model is 34.5 cm long.
